Giveaway!~Parisienne Petals~a la parisienne's new romantic brooches~

For all of my loyal friends out there, I wanted to share with you some exciting news. A couple of weeks ago, I added a new product to my Etsy store~Parisienne Petals~romantic brooches that have a vintage appeal. As a "grand launching" of this product and a thank you, I want to give one of these brooches to one lucky winner. Winner's choice!

A little bit about my hand-made flowers:
*Each brooch is made of luxurious fabrics-silks, velvets, brocades, taffetas
*All petals are hand-cut by me
(These aren't craft store flowers with a pin glued to the back.)
*The design of these brooches are one of a kind- I created the template for the petals and I select the fabrics.
*Edges of petals are treated to prevent fraying.
*I love using authentic vintage pearls, beads, jewelry and ribbons for the centers of my brooches.
~Le Petit Trianon Brooch~

This flower is my Marie Antoinette inspired brooch. I drew these colors from the gorgeous robin's egg walls in the Petit Trianon at Versailles and sumptuous dresses worn by the actresses in the film Marie Antoinette.

Although the color palette of this flower might be considered more fitting for the spring and summer months, I would still wear it in the winter...but that's just me.

~vintage vanilla cream brooch~

I hand-dyed the fabric used in this brooch to make it a creamier shade of white.

~La Sorbonne~

A charcoal raw silk brooch, with the appearance of linen is a great color for fall yet light weight enough for spring.

~velvet decadance~

This brooch is one of my very first creations. It is fashioned with layers of dusty rose and burgundy velvet. It is ruffled and so very rich.

~Satine~ Inspired by Moulin Rouge

~A scarlet silk and crinkled velvet brooch~a rich, classic, striking

Mandy,
I'm a Parisphile who has been savouring your lovely blog for nearly two months. Back in September you posted a divine picture of a Dior model wearing a large-brimmed hat, which is very like a photo of my mom taken in the early 1950s when she was a fashion model. It seems the photos you post, whether the autumn scenes in Quebec or your wee one in her Madeleine costume, have a way of rousing memories I thought I'd forgotten. So here's a belated thanks. I am certain you'll get many entries for your giveaway, and I'm unable to choose between the burgundy velvet and the charcoal/teal flowers....so if I should win, I'll let you choose.
Merci,

Hi Mandy,
Thank you so much for the wonderful comment on my blog, Love Your Place about my Dandelion post. Your blog is SO beautiful! I can just imagine the dandelions in the vase and the dandelion bed picture from my post in a room with your pretty white dresser and the grey and golden chair. A perfect match!

Your hand made flowers are so beautifully made and elegant! They remind me of Chanel and Dior. I would love to enter your contest. They are ALL so pretty... but I think I like the charcoal gray one the best as it would look nice on one of my suits. Humm... I wonder if it's possible to make a dandelion flower?

Your little daughter is so sweet and the story of her first dandelion is so adorable! I hope all her dandelion wishes come true! Her Madeleine dress is so cute too! I hope you have a lovely day! ~ Bonnie :)

Mandy, these are amazing!! Of course, I really love the Marie Antoinette one, but since I wear all black to work everyday, I can see myself wearing the dark Sorbonne one to work.

OH MY!
If I have not mentioned it - I love these broaches, I have one or two myself but they are NOTHING like these.
Might kill for the P.T. one in those Marie Antoinette colors! SO LOVELY! - Sometimes I put them in my hair right next to a low chingon.
You do beautiful work!

La Sorbonne is my favorite it expresses the elegance of french aging times of Coco Channel. It has a rustic beauty that only black can express. You are a true artist. I wish our modern times can appreciate this elegance. Continue making history with your creations.

Hello all,

Michelle8- I've never thought of my brooches as being a part of history, but it is true when we make something with our hands, it's bound to tell a story. One of these days when I'm gone, when someone finds one of these brooches nestled in her mother's jewelry box, I wonder what she will say...

Rosemary- Thank you for your support!

I just wanted to share with you all that my Marie Antoinette brooch was included in one of Etsy's treasuries created by VintageAccoutrements. This is an honor to me.
Here's the link - You may have to copy/paste it to view
